Wolfgang Helmrath, born on 30 October 1954 in Rheydt/Niederrhein, has been drawing and painting since he was a child. He lives and works in Tönisvorst/Vorst. He began his career as an apprentice of landscape painter Paul Petin. Since 1989 he has been creating wall objects and sculptures in addition to paintings. They’ve been shown in a wide variety of exhibitions.
The pictures exhibited at CCS are glazed directly onto the backlit photo textile with brush and paint.
